Shot Show – ATF Regulations Session
Business Automation Specialists, publisher of Easy Bound Book, attended the 2017 Shot Show in February. This was the first time that the show hosted a supplier showcase, and we were overwhelmed at the response. It was very busy, but we still managed to participate in the ATF Regulations Session specifically for software vendors. Some of the more interesting take-a-ways for us of what the future may hold for FFL licensees:
- With the advances in electronic bound book software, there was discussion about the ATF allowing electronic forms submission and responses to process NFA paperwork.
- More and more businesses are moving to electronic storage for their FFL data, and the ATF may allow electronic storage of form 4473.
- There was talk of being able to scan driver’s licenses to fill in forms.
It’s an exciting time in the evolution of electronic bound books and we are honored to be at the forefront with Easy Bound Book.
